'Winter Illusions' Exhibition at Turner Barnes Gallery

February is looking to be a great month for Turner Barnes Gallery.

Opening with our first exciting 2012 exhibition ‘Winter Illusions’ at our Gallery in Wells Street, we have brought together five artists to help warm up your winter and see us through this frosty time of year with sizzling art work to ignite your home.

The thoughts behind this exhibition has been encouraged by colour & mood. Leading to warm winter thoughts, crisp winter walks and the warmth the art brings to your home whilst looking outside on a cold winters day. By combining resident artists together with new artists using colours and subject matters, a winter collection has been formed, from thought provoking art through to minimalist abstract expressionism creating an exhibition with artists Lawrence Morrell, Laurie Maitland, Natasha Barnes, Sara habgood and Daniel Ablitt.

This exhibition is continuing until 17th March so please come and take a look at our first 2012 exhibition.

CHRISTMAS POP UP SHOP

From the 1st December 2011 we are opening a pop up Christmas shop in our old gallery space in Well's Street, Chelmsford.

We shall be selling prints, design products, jewellery and cards all in time for Christmas!

For framing jobs, you will still need to visit the new gallery space in Boyton Hall Farm, Roxwell Road, Chelmsford.

Over the last few weeks, Turner Barnes Gallery and Interior Angle have been busy moving and expanding to a larger gallery and framing space in Chelmsford.

Our framing department is now up and running, with estimation and consultation area, framing collection point, and workshop.

We will be opening a gallery and exhibition space upstairs shortly.

We aim to complete all orders in time, which normally have a 3 week turn around. For Christmas orders, we need to have received your order by the latest of 10th December for us to achieve this.

Turner Barnes goes to Singapore

Turner Barnes Gallery is heading to Singapore this November for there first Affordable Art Fair.

We will be exhibiting between 18th to 20th November at stand H9.

Launched in London 12 years ago, the Affordable Art Fair is now in cities all over the world, including Amsterdam, Brussels, New York, Melbourne and Milan. Singapore played host to the first Asian edition.

Work coming to Singapore includes Ben Allen, Dom Pattinson, Tom Lewis, Natasha Barnes, Caia Koopman, Nina Pringle and Natalie Tkachuk.

Windsor Contempory Art Fair 2011

For the first year, Turner Barnes Gallery will be at Windsor Contempory Art Fair on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November.

With over 100 exhibitors showing a range of work including original art, photography, drawings, limited edition prints, sculpture and glass work.

Prices range from £40 - £4,000 so there is something to suit everyone’s price range.

Artist we are taking are Ben Allen, Tom Lewis, Natasha Barnes, Gordon Scammell and Laurie Maitland.

AFFORDABLE IS BACK...

Last week we were setting up for the Affordable Art Fair which was held in Battersea Park, London. With all work priced from just £40 - £4,000, everyone could find something they loved within their price range. Turner Barnes Gallery was amongst 120 galleries exhibiting a range of affordable work in a range of media’s and styles. The event launched with a successful private view night on 19^th October and ran until the 23^rd October.

We exhibited 8 artists this year – Ben Allen, Natasha Barnes, Tamara English, Kitty Finegan, Tom Lewis, Kitty Gutherie-Oakley, Dom Pattinson, and Gary Reddick.

We are beginning to travel around the world with our art, but landing in The Hamptons this July was the pinnacle of the Art Fairs to date. This was the first time the name Turner Barnes Gallery had been introduced for an exhibition.

In this review of the ArtHamptons Art Fair in the 'Hamptons' magazine they have featured a piece by our resident artist Dom Pattinson. The review is by Hip-hop legend Russell Simmons and he describes ArtHamptons as 'a festival of imaginations', something Turner Barnes Gallery was proud to be apart of.

KISS MY ART ... because I'M going global

Dom Pattinson's first solo show was hosted in the trendy area for up & coming artists, Shoreditch, London.

The event launched with a succesful private view night on the 22nd March and ran until the 27th March 2011.

After only 18 months of Gallery representation Dom Pattinson has achieved sell out collections at London and New York City art fairs.

KISS MY ART... because I’m going global, a much anticipated first solo show stretched Dom with colour and content of the collection. Whilst not shying away from the expressive large pieces, Dom experimented with works on a larger scale for this show.

The art with attitude consists of paint, collage and stencil work on large canvas pieces instead of walls, a fairly unusual base for this style of art to some extent. Incorporating the raw feel of street art, Dom captures a fun, but cheeky mood, drawing us into the reality of whit

interior angle and Dom Pattinson worked together to create the ''Warning! Hazard Signs'' an edition of 25. Using a yellow hazard sign supplied by interior angle Dom created a unique deisgn onto each piece and signed them. They were sold with 100% of the profits donated to the charity Marie Curie Cancer Care.
